NOTES: UNLESS SPECIFIED ELSEWHERE ....

  • Rider Operated may be by sit-on or stand-on operator
  • Trucks with optional rider or pedestrian operation are classed as rider operated
  • Low lift is defined as lifting just sufficient to permit horizontal travel
  • Medium lift is defined as lifting not more than 2.5 metres
  • * = excluding container handling trucks
  • where relevant, groupings should be qualified on the Operator Certificate by suffixes: E=electric powered, A = Automatic gearbox, M = Manual gearbox
  • The addition of some attachments may change the classification of a truck, eg a swivelling/reach attachment
  • Added to the prefix 'T' should be the actual truck group, (e.g TB1 - Transportable counterbalance - up to 5 tonne. TC1 - Transportable sideloader up to 3 tonne)
